Greg Donlin, 72, of Monument, Colorado, died on April 29th, 2023, from a rare and aggressive cancer discovered merely one month prior. He passed without pain, surrounded by family.

He was born November 23rd, 1950, to Marilyn and Robert “Dick” Donlin of White Bear Lake, Minnesota. He grew up in a large family, the eldest of six children with three sisters and two brothers.

After he graduated from White Bear High School in 1968, he attended Lakewood Community College before graduating from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud, Minnesota. Later he earned an M.S. degree from Colorado Technical University, Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a computer systems analyst for forty-five years working at Burlington Northern, Onan Corporation, Wisconsin Power and Light, Rural Insurance, MCI, TIAA-CREF, and the State of Colorado. Greg retired in 2018.

He met his wife, Maureen McKasy-Donlin, a curator at the Minnesota Historical Society in 1978 in St. Paul, Minnesota. They were married on May 11th, 1979, and blessed with two children. Greg and Maureen’s careers took them around the county to Middleton, Wisconsin; Fairfax, Virginia; Colorado Springs, Colorado; and finally, Monument, Colorado.

Greg was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a leader of the Monument Hill Kiwanis Club and a Broadmoor Waltz Club member. He enjoyed swimming and exercise class, daily sudoku, 60s and 70s music, and cherished time with family and friends. He was steady, loyal, caring, attentive, and always ready with a big smile. He will be dearly missed.
