Obituary of Jesus Antonio Cruz Garcia

Jesus Antonio Garcia passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the young age of 18. 

Jesus was born on Mary 3, 2004 in Denver, Colorado. Jesus entered the foster care system at the age of 4 in 2008, and has been lovingly cared for by his mother, Sue, since 2009. Jesus instantly became a part of the family and was loved and doted on by Sue, as well as by her children and her family. 

Because of Sue and her attentive care of Jesus, Jesus lived a very fulfilling, exuberant, and joyous life despite having significant medical needs. Jesus' life expectancy went beyond what was expected because of his life with Sue. 

Jesus had such an amazing smile and was full of laughter. His belly laugh was extremely contagious. Jesus loved to listen to music and dance, whether he was in the car or going on walks. Jesus and Sue spent many hours exploring the great outdoors on their hikes and running races together. Jesus loved to watch the Broncos on Sunday with Sue. Jesus was well known by many in his community, and loved to watch the school buses daily. Jesus impacted everyone that he met and was loved by many. Jesus graduated from Palmer Ridge High School in Monument, Colorado on May 20, 2022. 

Jesus is survived by his mother, Sue; and his brothers, Christopher, and Nicholas. 

His wonderful, loving spirit will be celebrated at 2:00PM, Thursday, April 20, 2023, at The Springs Funeral Services - North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.
