Kenneth Boffey

Obituary of Kenneth Jeffery Boffey

Kenneth “Kenny” Jeffery Boffey was born on May 5, 1960. Ken passed away in the early hours of March 23, 2023 with the love of his life by his side. Ken fought an incredibility valiant fight against NETS cancer. He beat the odds and did all he could to enjoy the life that he was given.

Ken worked on oil rigs and eventually obtained his Associate's Degree in computer engineering and began work at Intel, then Tokyo electronics, and ended his career at Atmel. Ken created some of the best friendships with his co-workers and they all held a special place in his heart.

Ken was a passionate golfer and fisherman. He would spend his off time with the love of his life golfing and fishing and just enjoying each other’s company. Ken was also very passionate about spending time his family. Although his family was blended, one would never know. His favorite weekend activities were cooking for his wife, kids, and grandkids while watching them play cornhole or simply sitting around the table talking about their sports, school, and what their future plans are. His wife, kids, and grandkids are what brought him the most joy in life and he loved and cherished every one of them.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, MaryHelen Boffey; his children, Heather (Keith) Boffey-Wrede, Joanna Boffey, Donald Boffey, Christi (Don) Silver, Brandy (David) Thresher, and Thomas (April) Kundert; and his grandchildren, Savannah, Paul, Brenna, Kenzie, Kayla, Andrew, Julia, Ryan, Brooke, Olivia and Vanessa.

Ken is also survived by his parents, Raymond and Darlene Boffey; sisters, Debby Wagster, Barbara (Dave) Russell, and Donna (Wayne) Smart; brother Doug Boffey; and his nieces and nephews.

The family is planning a celebration of life in later in the spring, as Ken requested that we enjoy each other’s company and good food.

Flowers should be sent to the family directly. Ken’s wife would also like to thank everyone that helped Ken during the past six months of his battle and would like you all to know that she appreciates all the love and support that everyone had shown him and her during this very difficult time.
