Daniel Deutsch

Obituary of Daniel Thomas Deutsch

Daniel "Dan" Thomas Deutsch was born on October 7, 1945 to Mary Rebecca (Graham) and Thomas Paul Deutsch in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Dan passed away at Memorial Hospital on February 27, 2023 after a brief, but courageous, battle with a rare disease, amyloidosis.

With a work ethic that set the bar high for himself and inspired others to follow, Dan tirelessly provided for his family and was always willing to help others. He retired after forty years as an electrical lineman for the city of Colorado Springs. Dan spent the last fifteen years working at Toyota of Colorado Springs, Colorado, around his lifelong passion for cars and hands-on work. In true fashion, he worked up until three months before his passing.

Spinney Mountain Reservoir was a special place in Dan’s life. As an avid sportsman, Dan enjoyed many peaceful days at the reservoir boating, tubing and pursuing his lifelong passion for fishing. The family smiles and is confident that the fish at Spinney Mountain Reservoir are now resting easier.

Hard-working hands are at peaceful rest, and a strong, colorful thread in the tapestry of our family life will be forever loved and missed.

Dan is survived by his wife. Candy (married April 24, 1965); daughters, Christine and Melissa; sons, Danny and Kyle (Jeannie); beloved grandchildren, Taylor, Andrew, Abigail, and Arianne; brothers, David (Sheryl), John Terry (Laura) and Paul (Jennifer); sister-in-law, Michele (Lamar) Starling; brother-in-law, Kelly (Tammy) Kennedy; aunt, Mildred Graham; cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends and people touched by his unique and special life.
