Obituary of Richard Andrew Morneault

Richard Morneault of Colorado Springs, Colorado, peacefully passed away on February 24, 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones.

Richard was born in Bangor, Maine on May 25, 1942 to Claude and Helen Morneault.

He graduated from Chererus High School in Portland, Maine. After high school, Richard joined the United State Air Force in 1961.

Among his many military assignments, he spent six years assigned to the Air Force.  Richard served two tours in Vietnam and one tour in Korea, where he received many awards and metals.

Richard loved working on cars and trucks throughout his life.  His pride and joy was a total rebuild of a 1980 Chevy Silverado.  He also enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, football, trips to Cripple Creek, and spending time with his Colorado Springs friends.

He is proceeded in death by his parents and daughter.

Richard is survived by his two sons, Kent (Carmen) Morneault of Napa, California, and Scott Morneault of Burlington, Maine; two sisters, Claudette Beaumont of Newport Richey, Florida, and Pricillia Cutts of Windham, Maine; two brothers, John Morneault of Windham, Maine, and Ronald Morneault of the Philippines; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his extended family of friends of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
