Obituary of Donald Clair Hawley
Donald "Don" Hawley, 89, passed away peacefully in Colorado Springs, Colorado surrounded by his family.
Don was born and raised in Armour, South Dakota along with three sisters, Wanda (Andy), Pat (Merle), and Donna (Hick); and two brothers, Warren and Wendell (Janette).
In 1955, Don married another South Dakota native, Evelyn Dvorak of Wagner, South Dakota, and they were married for sixty-seven years. Evelyn survives Don with three of their children, Donney (Chris), Corrine, and Tina (Ken); his brother, Wendell; and many nieces and nephews.
Two sons, Michael (Barb) and James preceded him in death.
Together, Don and Evelyn have nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Don was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Navy from 1952 to 1956. After his service, Don and Evelyn moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado and Don retired from Colorado Springs Utilities Gas Department after twenty-eight years.
Don was an avid Denver Broncos fan and passed this affinity to his entire family.
Don and Evelyn attended Central United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs.
