Obituary of Patrick Hammond Miller

Patrick Hammond Miller, 78, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, peacefully passed away February 11, 2023, with family at his bedside.  

Patrick was born July 21, 1944, to parents, Dean and Mary Miller.  

He grew up in Fallbrook, California, in a fun and loving household, the eldest of four boys, Patrick, David, Stephen and John. 

Patrick loved Jesus Christ and lived his Catholic faith every day.  Through his interactions with others, and generous and giving nature, he was an inspiration to all who knew him.  Patrick Miller was a good and loving man.  

After graduating from the University of Arizona, he served as an officer in the United States Army. In his service at Fort Lewis, Washington, he assisted the grieving families of war casualties, arranging funerals and providing comfort. 

Patrick loved sports, excelling in swimming, basketball, and racquetball.   Never get between Patrick and the TV during March Madness.  

His successful career in Real Estate Brokerage and development spanned over fifty years, establishing a broad reputation for knowledge, honesty and integrity throughout the County of San Diego and Southern California.  His colleagues at Lee & Associates revered his vast experience in the industry and considered Patrick to be “the heart of the company”. 

Patrick and his wife, Roni, moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in March, 2020, where they enjoyed the mountains, outdoors, nature walks, hiking, and the “Miller Woods”. 

Patrick was a voracious reader—especially books on history.  The family referred to him as “knowledge man.”  He enjoyed poetry and memorized the entire Shakespeare play HAMLET.  He loved to quote Shakespeare!

Patrick is survived by his wife, Veronica "Roni"; son, David Telmosse; daughter, Gina (Keith) Maruska; brothers, Stephen (Lana) Miller, and John (Liba) Miller; sisters-in-law, Ann (Gene) Scheer and Janice Miller; brother-in-law, Kenneth Schauf; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his brother, David Miller.
