Obituary of Dean "Dean-O" Cimino
Dean "Dean-O" Cimino, 79, passed away on January 2, 2023.
Dean, a Colorado Springs, Colorado native, worked as a heavy equipment operator in the Park and Rec Division of the City of Colorado Springs for forty-three years before retiring twelve years ago. His work can be enjoyed at America the Beautiful Park (off of Cimino Dr.), Gold Camp Road, in Garden of the Gods, and all the parks and trails in Colorado Springs.
He enjoyed time with his family and friends fishing, building custom model cars to match the muscle cars he was so passionate about, and enjoying the nature in Colorado.
Dean was very loving and kind, and never knew a stranger. His family and friends love him very much and he will be missed every day.
Dean is preceded in death by his parents, William Cimino, Sr. and Rose Bowers Cimino; brothers, William Cimino, Jr., Clarence Cimino, and Harry Cimino; and sister, JoAnn Cimino Young.
Dean is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Barbara Kaufman Cimino; sons, Douglas Cimino and Eric (Fanchon) Cimino; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
