Obituary of Caroline Marie Meinz

Caroline Marie Meinz, passed away January 21, 2023 at Springs Ranch Memory Care in Colorado Springs, CO at the age of 78. She was born February 2, 1944 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to the late Norris Boren and Elsie (Stueve) Boren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Meinz and a nephew Matthew Meinz. All who knew her called her Carolyn. On June 1, 1963 she married Edward Meinz in a ceremony at New Wells Lutheran Church in Missouri. In the late 1960's they moved to Farmington, MO to make their home and began their long-time membership at St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking and used her skills through the years as a cook at St. Paul Lutheran School, Presbyterian Manor, and the Ponderosa Restaurant in Farmington. She also loved gardening and crafting which she did in her spare time. She is survived by her two children, Jennifer Skinner and her husband, Shannon and Jeffrey Meinz and his wife, Amy; eight grandchildren, Alicen Contevita and husband Carl, Zachary Skinner, Gavin Meinz and wife Livia, Jenna Meinz, Julia Meinz, Jadyn Meinz, Gentry Meinz and Garrett Meinz; one great grandchild, Louis Contevita; one sister, Mary Rhodes and husband Larry; seven nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside service on June 1, 2023 beginning at 10 a.m. with Reverend Shannon Skinner officiating at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Farmington, MO.
