Wolfgang Lampert

Obituary of Wolfgang "Wolf" Eugene Lampert

Wolfgang "Wolf" Eugene Lampert was received into Eternal Life on the morning of his 69th birthday, within twenty minutes of his time of birth. The numerical symmetry suits his analytical tendencies. He was the victim of an automobile accident.

Wolf was born to Joseph and Ruth (Kroll) Lampert in Cleveland, Ohio. He married Darlene Tibbitts May 31, 1980 in Brunswick, Ohio. The couple moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where they were blessed with two daughters, Sonja and Tiffany. They shared their home with numerous animals over the years, beginning with one cat. While raising their children, the list exploded to include more cats, dogs, rodents, birds, fish, herptiles, and more.

In his life, Wolf shared his passion for music, praising God with his musical talent. He served forty years as organist at Rock of Ages. He played several instruments and enhanced worship with original compositions and arrangements for organ as well as for vocal choir and instrumental ensemble. Family of Faith Lutheran Church also benefited from his musical gifts in the last few years. His love of music and inventive nature inspired him to build musical yard art. God's creations, especially the wind and squirrels, use it to play music.

Wolf's education and career were in electronics. After his corporate career, he worked maintaining and repairing arcade games. He then developed an affinity for pinball machines and started his own business repairing and refurbishing them all over the front range.

Travel is another activity Wolf delighted in. He flew to Europe with a brass band in his late teens and visited Hong Kong and Singapore with Darlene. The numerous vacations he meticulously orchestrated took his family to all 48 contiguous United States, and into Canada and Mexico. Wolf's love of and devotion to his family were demonstrated in all aspects of his life. He provided for their needs, enhanced their life experiences through music and travel, and supported their pursuits. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe. He is survived by his mother, Ruth; wife, Darlene; two daughters, Sonja (Lewis) Engledowl, and Tiffany (Adam Hubbs) Lampert; grandson, Landus Engledowl; and his cat, Roscoe.
