Obituary of Noel Lynn Van Duyne

Noel Lynn Van Duyne, 38, of Calhan, Colorado passed away on December 31, 2022. She was born on December 25, 1984 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Glenn and Marsha (Stewart) Ashwell. Noel went to Clinton Prairie Junior/Senior High School, graduating in 2003. She received a bachelor's degree in health and kinesiology from Purdue University. At Purdue, she made lasting friendships with her Twin Pines Cooperative girls, which led to finding the love of her life, Stephen Todd Van Duyne. Stephen and Noel married on May 20, 2006 and immediately moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her passion in life was being a wife and a mother to their three children. Noel was active in her church in several capacities, but her favorite was teaching the three-year-olds in the children's ministry at Woodmen Valley Chapel. She had a fire for the Lord and a servant heart, always looking for ways to witness and show God's love. She also enjoyed participating in Bible Study Fellowship and school activities with her children. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur and Dorothy Ashwell, and Jim and Ruby Disinger. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Van Duyne; her children, Jonah (12), Gabriel (10), and Annabelle (8); her parents, Glenn and Marsha Ashwell; and her sister, Amber (Craig) Perkins.
