William is survived by his wife, Felicity Jayne Lynchard; his daughters, Margueriete (Christopher) Pinnix, Terry Calvert, and Neva Lynchard; his sons, Daniel Lynchard, Jeremy (Tracie) Lynchard, and Robbie (Margie) Truelock; his stepson, Jerry Sullivan; and his sister, Judy (Clyde) Maddox.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Michael Lynchard.
