Obituary of Krushun Joseph Rice

Krushun Joseph RiceJuly 5, 1993 - April 10, 2010Krushun Joseph Rice, 16, was received into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 10, 2010. He was born in Aurora, CO on July 5, 1993. Krushun is survived by his parents Sam and Diana Rice. Brothers, Ed, Davion, Jeremy, John, James and sister Nikki. Grandparents Pat and Ruth Daugherty, and Eloise Kyper; Uncle and Aunt Dan and Jan Kyper, Tom and Dawn Ring. His Grandpa K, Art Kyper went to eternity a few hours prior to Kru. Krushun was in the 10th grade at Wasson High School. He was an active member of Wasson's AVID - Advancement Via Individual Determination program. He was planning to attend UCCS and was in their Pre-Collegiate Development Program. He liked music, watching tv, and remote control cars. Kru was a master board game player and would regularly win the grand prize during family game tournaments. When he was feeling good he liked to play basketball, football, and he would always aim for the head in dodge ball. We called him Kru or Krujoe. His favorite color is red. He wanted to be a US Army sharp shooter. He had a fantastic sense of humor. Krushun's favorite teams were the Cavaliers and Green Bay. He was a positive influence and liked to help people. Krushun was an amazing young man and will be missed by all who knew him.Krushun showed great courage and endurance living with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. To honor his life we are asking in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to The Children's Hospital, Rheumatology Department, 13123 East 16th Ave, Aurora, CO 80045. Visitation will be held from 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 15, 2010, at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
