Obituary of Keiko Martin

Keiko MartinApril 16, 1964 – May 8, 2010Keiko Martin was born in Kobe, Japan on April 16th, 1964 and passed from this life to the next on May 8, 2010 at Penrose North Hospital. Her passions included fishing in the Colorado Mountains, her beloved dogs Leather, Lacy and Buddy, gardening, piano, sewing, and most importantly, her family. She was an amazing wife and mother. Keiko attended Hyogo Hygiene Nursing School in Kobe, Japan later working as a Charge nurse at Kobe Municipal Hospital until moving to California in 1993. Keiko earned her US Nursing degree at home while raising her 2 young boys, Nick and Andrew. Later she and her family left California for Colorado and settled in Monument. She spent her recent years of her working life as an RN and OR Nurse at Penrose Main and Penrose North Hospitals where she was loved by all that she touched. Her true passion came through working in the garden where she spread beauty and touched peoples' lives with its colors and variety. Keiko always had a cheerful outlook on life, a smile for all and boundless love hard to imagine. Keiko was always surrounded by friends everywhere she lived either in Japan or America. Through her outgoing personality and teasing nature she had a way of bringing smiles to everyone around her. She remained active in the church until her passing; she gained renewed strength through fellowship. If the number of her true friends is a measure of love, then Keiko was truly blessed.Keiko was preceded in death by her 1st son, Ricky Martin. She is survived by her husband, Alan Webb; father, Kazo Goda; mother, Tatsuko Goda; sister, Hiroko Goda; brother, Kiichi Goda; sons, Nick Martin and Andy Martin.
