Obituary of Evelyn Reid Orr
Evelyn Reid OrrApril 17, 1925 - May 22, 2010Evelyn Reid Orr passed from this world on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona. Evelyn was born in her parent's home in Onalaska, Texas on April 17, 1925. She lived a full and relatively healthy life for eighty-five years.Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Arnold A. Orr, Jr.She is survived by her son Arnold A. Orr, III; her daughter Deborah K. Ellzey (Jerry); her daughter Cynthia L. Ott (Art); grandchildren Curtis A. Ellzey (Becky); Brandon J. Ott; step-grandchildren Greg Ellzey, Cathi Hammonds (Larry), Meri Wright (Jeff) and Jay Ellzey..She met Arnold in Texas and they were married in Kansas and then lived near Lamar, Colorado where they had their three children. The family then moved to Ellicott east of Colorado Springs, and she became the accountant for the El Paso County Telephone Company where she worked for many years. Evelyn retired in 1993 and she and Arnold moved to Colorado Springs.Visitation will be from 4:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, May 28, 2010 at The Springs Funeral Service, 3115 E. Platte Avenue.Funeral Service will be 10:00AM, Saturday, May 29, 2010 at The Springs Funeral Services.Private interment will take place on Tuesday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.Contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association.Arrangements by:The Springs Funeral Services3115 E.
