Obituary of Joe Alan McPhail
Joe Alan McPhailJoe McPhail passed away August 20, 2010 surrounded by those who truly loved him. He was born July 25, 1955, and grew up in Illinois. In 1975 he was stationed at Ft. Carson, where he met and married his wife of 34 years, Dianna McPhail. After his honorable discharge in 1980, they decided to make Colorado Springs their permanent residence. Joe McPhail was a true survivor. Most of his adult life was spent in a battle to live. Yet somehow, through years of pain and struggling, he managed to have a very successful marriage and be a father to his two children Tiffany and Skyler, and many other "adopted" children along the way. He is survived by his devoted wife Dianna McPhail, two children Tiffany McPhail and her loving family, and Skyler McPhail, his "Dad" Rudy Alvarez, his sister and one brother, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and his mother-in-law. It was an honor to know Joe McPhail. It's a blessing to know his suffering has ended and his eternal peace has begun.
