Obituary of Matthew Todd Britt

Matthew Todd Britt went to be with Christ, our Lord, Aug 29, 2010. Matthew, born Dec 28, 1982, was the son of Roger Todd Britt and Patricia Rutherford Loring. He was the younger brother of Christina Britt and Benjamin Copley. Matt is remembered as a Christian, a peacemaker, an artist, a musician, a chef, a philosopher, and a poet. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Britt, and Mary and Ernest Rutherford, and by Star (his beloved). Matt is survived by his mother, his step-father Colin Loring, his sister, and his brother. Services were held in Knoxville, Tn. and Colorado Springs, Co., to honor his departure from the flesh to the spirit:To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (II Corinthians 5:6.); Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest (Matthew 28:11).
