Obituary of Fran Stevens

Beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and sister.Fran Stevens was born in Comstock, Nebraska on May 14, 1950. She enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1975. She met Greg Stevens while stationed at Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota, they married on October 11, 1980. In 1989, they had their son, Trevor Dean Edwin Stevens and lived in North Dakota for 20 years where Fran retired from the Air Force in 1995. Fran and her family have resided in Colorado Springs since 1997.Fran was a beautiful, independent, strong woman who enjoyed life and all it gave her. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Security, Colorado. During her thirteen years in Colorado, she worked as a contractor at Peterson Air Force Base. Fran was active in Boy Scout Troop 75 as their treasurer and advancement chair until her son, Trevor achieved the rank of Life with Boy Scouts.Fran enjoyed her plants and her gardens outside and recently, she took a special interest in embroidering and quilting; making loving gifts from the heart for family and friends. She has always loved sewing and making things. She touched and influenced a lot of lives, and many people are better because of knowing and loving her.She is survived by her husband, Greg Stevens; son, Trevor Stevens; daughter, Heather Stevens-Bachicha; three grandchildren, Kirstie Stevens, Dawna Stevens-Sunnell, and Brandon Stevens; mother, Gayle Stephenson, sisters, Rose Evans and Mary Jo Namie; and her brother, Frank Oliva.Fran was called home to our Lord on November 18, 2010.
