Ruth Arline DowningJuly 19, 1944 - January 10, 2011Ruth Downing, age 66, was born July 19, 1944 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to the late Otis and Nellie (Smith) Ullom and passed away January 10, 2011. She was a life long resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado.Ruth worked 15 years in the packaging department for Walter Drake and Sons. Ruth did not have time for hobbies although she did enjoy fishing. She also enjoyed her time spent in her home cooking, cleaning, sewing and caring for her children and later her grandchildren. Ruth was a very kind and giving person.She is survived by her children, Lynette Howell and Larry Shelton; seven grandchildren, Ashliegh, Chase, Tyler, Shawnna, Lawrence, Craig and Jesse; and two great grandchildren, Laci and Aisix.Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM followed by a service at 10:00 AM Friday, January 14, 2011 in The Springs Funeral Services Chapel, 3115 E.
