Frederick Clinton (Pete) HughesDecember 7, 1936 - April 22, 2011Frederick Clinton (Pete) Hughes, 74, of Colorado Springs was born December 7, 1936 in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, the son of Raymond Clinton & Alice Marina (Good) Hughes. He died April 22, 2011 in Colorado Springs.Pete retired from the United States Army after serving 20 years including tours in Germany, Vietnam and Korea. In 1963 he married Maurine S. Lossing. After his retirement he worked as a Sales Associate for Walmart. He was a member of Faith Presbyterian Church.He is survived by his wife Maurine, a daughter, Karen Hicks; sons, David, Dion and Byron Hughes; grandchildren, Alex, Myla, Kira, Joshua; brothers, Roy, Ray, Bill, Michael, Herb, and Daniel; sisters, Marian, Norma and Becky; along with numerous nieces, nephews and many extended friends and family.He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Alice Hughes and his stepmother Hazel.Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Thursday April 28th at Faith Presbyterian Church, 1529 N.
