Obituary of Charles E. "Chuck" Myers
Chuck passed away peacefully after a long battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born on a farm in Campbellsville, Kentucky to the late William E. and Mary Wilson Myers. He enlisted in the Air Force at a young age and was very proud of his 23 years serving our country as an Electronics Technician.He married the love of his life, Barbara on August 14, 1955 in Lewiston, New York. Together they had three wonderful children; a son, Richard (Connie) and two daughters, Nancy and Ann. They were stationed in several locations including Hawaii, France and Germany. During their 56 year marriage they loved to camp and travel in their motor home and also enjoyed cruises and trips abroad.Chuck was very active as a 42 year member of the First United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher, on various committees, Sunday School Classes and working at the Church Ranch. He also enjoyed being a Ham Radio Operator and volunteering. After retiring from the Air Force in1972, he held various positions including Manager of the Medallion West Retirement Center.Besides his wife and children, he is survived by his brother, Bill and sister, Jennie (Leonard) Barnett and many friends and extended family.
