I,too, have very fond memories of Don as so many others have written. As a '57 classmate of Don, I remember him being a friend to everyone. I thought Don would become a pastor, missionary, or somehow be in the religious field. I recall his forensic talk based on the love chapter of the Bible. (I Corinthians 13). God sent a wonderful person to us when he gave us Don Leigh. I send my condolences to Judy and Don's family.

Pastor Don was our Pastor when we lived in Frederic, Wisconsin and attended the E. Free Church. He was truly a man of God and he and his wife Judy blessed our lives richly. We have wonderful and fond memories of our time there with them. To Judy and the family, our heartfelt condolences and prayers be with you. God has welcomed home his son Don, he will be greatly missed here on earth, but we rejoice in seeing him again someday in heaven. God Bless.

Family, As a fellow pastor in the Evangelical Free Church I express my sincere condolences to each of you on the death of Pastor Don. He was a man of God who served his Lord well in pastoral ministry. For a number of years Don was chaplain at our Elim Care facility in Princeton, Minnesota. We are grateful to God for the excellent spiritual care he provided for the residents of that facility. I am also grateful for his life of service to the Lord and I pray that you will experience God's wonderful peace and comfort in the days ahead. May God ricnly bless you. My dear Judy, I was heartbroken to learn of the passing of Pastor Don! He meant so much to me! I have such fond memories of you and Pastor when my husband Eric and I were members of First Evangelical Free Church from 1983-1985. And then when Pastor Don performed the memorial service upon my husband's death in 1991. Please know, Judy, that you will be in my prayers....for God's provision, comfort and peace during these difficult days.

Several of us lived at the top of the hill around the water tower and a little park in Frederic, Wis. Warm evenings were spent playing games, talking and contemplating climbing that water tower. Don was always there, the cool head in the bunch, discoraging that climb, I don't think anyone ever did. He was with us for all those years, the Class of '57 and then we scattered to make our own lives. He was always respected, admired and we knew he would do great things.

Don was my pastor in White Bear Lake, Minnesota for my early church experience. He set the bar high for all of my future pastors with his servant heart and great love for the congregation. I have very fond memories of the whole family. Blessings on all of you at this difficult time.

Judy, Steve, Susan and family - I'm so sorry for your loss. Pastor Don was our chaplain at Elim in Princeton, MN. It is hard to express how perfect a fit he was for our team and this ministry at that time. The Holy Spirit seemed to use each word he expressed and the devotionals he'd bring to the leadership team as "just the right word" at that time. We certainly loved you both, Judy, and came to feel very close and as if we had known you for a long time. Thank you for not only serving here so faithfully but also for the friendship to me and my family. In Him, Todd Lundeen
