Obituary of Frank Edwin Wallace

The Honorable Reverend Frank Edwin Wallace, devoted father, loving husband and treasured friend, left this world peacefully, and, with angels at his side, began his next adventure on the Winter Solstice, December 21st, 2011.Lover of all things reptilian, cold Budweiser, beautiful women, rude jokes, and MASTER of dirty tricks; an avid outdoorsman and naturalist, whose intense passion for this world and its wonders was rivaled only by his innate ability to radiate that passion and thirst for life into the heart of anyone who knew him, especially children. A fierce loyalty to those he loved and a genuine ability to find the common threads that bind us all meant that Frank never met a stranger. His service in the jungles of Vietnam profoundly changed and shaped his life, and he carried a true love for his brothers in arms for the remainder of his days.Frank was born in Houston, Texas on August 17th, 1950. He is preceded in physical death by his parents, Edwin Wallace and Marolyn Eskew.Left here to miss him and honor his life are his dedicated and beautiful wife Sandy; his extraordinary children: Jahnene Wallace Thomas and husband Chris, Dillon Wallace, and Dean Wallace and his wife Caroline; his cherished grandchildren: Dakota Wallace, Isabella Petty, Liam and Lucean Thomas; his lifelong friend and children's mother, Peggy Rose; his "2nd" mother Auntie Carolyn Vaughn; his brother Steven Guajardo; his nephew Clinton Guajardo and his wife Lawanda; his cousin Christina Willson and her wonderful family; the other loves of his life, K.D. Dog, Chester, Chelsea, Bullseye and Waggles; and countless friends, kindred and loved ones, along with the very special community of his Black Forest family. The time that he chose to spend here with us will forever leave an imprint on our hearts, and his lessons, laughter and lunacy will pass down through generations of stories of the man that was once known as Frank Wallace. Because the deal is, is what the deal is, and that will always be the deal.A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, December 26st from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at the Inn at Black Forest (6750 Shoup Rd., Colorado Springs, CO, 80908).In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to any Veterans or Animal Welfare groups. Frank loved them both dearly.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909 Events Service Monday, December 26, 2011 1:00PM - 3:00PM Inn at Black Forest 6750 Shoup Road Colorado Springs,, CO 80908 Phone: 719-328-1793
