Obituary of Etta Viola New

Etta Viola New was born on January 21, 1923 in San Jon, New Mexico. She was 88 when she went to meet the Lord. She passed away on January 16, 2012. She was married on February 29, 1940 to William Thomas New, Sr. in Tucumcari, New Mexico. They had three children: Naomi, Ernest, and Thomas. They had a happy life together. Her husband preceded her in death in May, 1983, he was 72 years old. Also preceding her in death was her: parents: Laura and Bingham Massey, sibling: Robert Massey and Pauline Massey. She is survived by her children: Naomi (Enos) Cook, Ernest (Virginia) New, and Thomas (Karen) New, Jr., siblings: Lorene Burton, Jim Massey, Frank Massey, and Ruth Massey, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She touched the lives of many, was greatly loved by those who knew her and will be missed by all. Her family rejoices that she is with the Lord. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Mosca, Colorado.
