Obituary of Edward Richard Jordan
Edward Richard Jordan was born February 25, 1924, in Pacific Junction, Iowa, and passed away at the Sunny Vista Living Center in Colorado Springs on January 26, 2012, at the age of 87.Eddie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Harriet, their daughter, Carrie Berry, and grandchildren Tyler, Kaitlyn, and Sarah. His sister, Marjorie Ward, resides in Florida.Edward served in the First Marine Division during WWII earning two Purple Hearts.He and Harriet married just after he was discharged from the Marines and they moved to Los Angeles where he attended Jr. College and USC. He then worked in a variety of sales positions. They moved to northern California where he owned a Winchell's Donut franchise and then to Loveland, Colorado, where he owned a used furniture and antique store.Edward loved golfing, waterskiing, and gambling. In their retirement, Harriet and Ed were "snow birds", spending the winters in southern Utah and Nevada and the summers in Colorado.Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery.Memorial contributions can be made in Edward's name to Pikes Peak Hospice & Palliative Care or National Parkinson Foundation.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909
