Obituary of Patrick James Van Auken

Colorado Springs, Colorado – Patrick J. Van Auken passed away while at home on February 1, 2012. Born and raised in Stanhope, NJ he was a 1978 graduate of the Sussex County Vocational – Technical High School. Shortly after graduation he went on a motorcycle tour of the continental United States. Upon his return he pursued a career as a machinist. His passions of motorcycle riding and to see the United States lead him to two of his favorite areas of the country, Albuquerque, NM and Colorado Springs, Co. He lived and worked in both areas where he could pursue his love of motorcycle riding on and off road. He is the son of the late Fred and Doris Van Auken of Oxford, NC formerly of Stanhope, NJ. He is predeceased by his sisters Colleen Ashley of Newton, NJ and Denise Stevens of Netcong, NJ.
