Mom, as you know I drove back to California yesterday. I hit a big snowstorm in Utah, I needed to pay close attention because I didnt want to crash so I turned the radio and iPod off. I spent the next 3 hours just talking to you. I had so much left to say to you that I had to tell you. I wasn't ready for you to go, mom. Even at 31, I still need my mommy. I spent that 3 hours talking to you and asking you for your advice on what I should do with my life. I prayed to god to let you just talk to me one more time. While I know that I may not speak to you for a long time, I know you were listening and you will speak to me in ways that will force me to pay more attention to the world around me. I don't care if the other drivers thought I was crazy, including the Nevada State Trooper who pulled me over, I needed that time to talk to you. I was never alone in life, I always had you. You loved me and were proud of me no matter what. You were more than just my mom, you were my best friend. You were the one woman in the world I could always count on. I wish I could type more, but I'm starting to bawl again. By the way mom, that romantic situation I asked your advice for, she's not interested so thank you for the sign :) I love you Mom, I miss you.
