Obituary of Ann Marie Glasford

Ann Marie Glasford of Monument, Colorado died Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Born in Houston, Texas, April 17, 1953 to Robert and Patrika Ratliff, Ann Marie received her BS in Computer Science from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. In 1984 she married Bill Glasford in Clear Lake, Texas. She was employed as a software engineer for many years, but her true calling was in helping others as a servant of God. Ann Marie was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church where she was a Stephen Minister. She volunteered at two local hospitals as a chaplain and supported many humanitarian charities. Artistic talent was her true gift from God. Her beautiful stained glass artwork was her favorite artistic expression which she enjoyed sharing with others. Ann Marie and Bill traveled the world but she liked nothing more than spending time with friends and family. She was known for her distinctive laugh that brought joy to those around her. She will be remembered for her generous, caring spirit and the way she touched lives through her ministry. Ann Marie leaves behind her beloved husband Bill and her son Chris Watts and his wife Aimee of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by her sister Mary Gentry and brother Bob Ratliff, both of Union City, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and sister Sandy.Visitation will be held 6PM Monday, February 13 followed a Rosary at 7PM, St. Peter Catholic Church in Monument.Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Monument, with Fr. Donald Brownstein officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs following the reception at St. Peter.
