Obituary of John Edward Jackson

John passed away peacefully in his home on the afternoon of February 12, 2012. He was married to his wife, Martha for over 36 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and was affectionately called Papa John. He was born in Commerce, Georgia, the son of a farmer and later moved to Atlanta. He honorably served in the U.S. Coast Guard then trained and worked as a pressman for St. Regis for 40 years. He and Martha retired to Colorado Springs in 1989 and became loyal members of the Moose Lodge. He was a kind, gentle, faithful and loving man and was always willing to help others.
