Barb, we miss you so much. I remember the last time I saw you. I was frustrated with my Algebra 1 class and felt like I was doing a poor job as a teacher. You came in the next day to help. You worked with some of my students, then pulled me aside and told me what a great job I was doing. You said "Honey, you're doing great!" Then you smiled and walked out with your Tea cup in hand... I hope that I can one day look back on my teaching and know that I've impacted as many students and others as you have. Barb, we miss you and we will try to carry on. I know that you will be watching over your family, especially your little grand kids. Also barb, if you can, would you please give my little sister a hug from me and tell her I'll see her again. I will miss seeing Barb in the halls of Building D. She was always with a smile on her face and full of energy. We would often stop and catch up about our lives and she was always so interested and present. We shared the same birth day which was special. She was an amazing person and I will truly miss her. Life.....so fragile, Loss....so sudden, Heart....so broken, in the wake of such a loss, we are haunted by things we dont, and may never understand. Yet the solace we seek may not come from answers. So we look for comfort in the belief of love's everlasting connection. May that love lift you and hold you close, and give you peace. Barb will be missed in the classrooms and hallways at Air Academy. Her bright, smiling face always uplifted me even on my most trying days. She was and will continue to be an inspiration for all of us. When I would run into Barb in various meetings, the hallways or stop by her classroom she was always genuinely interested in me and made me feel special. She would tell me comforting stories of her kids when they were little and mention how much she now enjoyed her grandchildren. Barb was kind, caring, thoughtful, genuine, in short... the kind of woman I strive to be.

I worked at AAHS for many years and remember Barb's smiling face in the halls. She was always willing to help you in any way and her students loved her so much. I have worked at Air Academy High school for the past 17 years. I had the great pleasure of knowing Barb. Our school feels a great loss of a beloved friend, coworker, and teacher.
