Sammy, you were a ray of sunshine in this sometimes dark world. Your kind and gentle spirit and purest heart have always served as a reminder of how we should all strive to be. I always appreciated your sweet personality, your sincerity of heart and unconditional love shown to everyone you knew. Even in the face of adversity you spoke blessings, never did an ill word come from you. You will truly be missed. Sammy I feel like I have lost a son this week also. When you and Scott were growing up you were inseprable.You would call me on Mothers Day to wish me a Happy one. You were always a kind and Wonderful Person. Sometimes we don't understand God's plan but he must have needed a very Special person in Heaven for a very special task and that person was you . My baby boy, I miss your smile so very much. You had such a rough time in life but yet no one would know it. You were always about what you could do for others. Sammy, there is no possible way to sum you up in a word, or in a lifetime. I however Thank God for having been one of the lucky ones to watch you grow up and become the man you were. My fondest memory made me cry then just as much as losing you this week. It was the one that Labor Day weekend at Tarryall Res. where I actually caught the biggest fish. I fell into the lake, Broke the windshield on our boat and then caught the biggest fish at the lake. I'm so sorry I hooked you in the ear and yes, If I had a diamond earring you would have received it. But now you are in the best hands ever. God holds you now and you have company up there I KNOW you are not alone. Give Shorty a hug for us.... you will always be loved and never forgotten. Sam, My Brother, My best friend, and mischievous partner in crime. Words can't express the hole in my heart and the void in my life since your passing. Tonight we went through old family photos. We LAUGHED. We CRIED. But most of all remembered what made YOU so special to each of us. Nobody will EVER take your place, and for that I am forever thankful of the short time you spent with us. Sam, this is all so surreal. I've always bragged about how close our family is and to have a huge part of that taken away has left such a hole in my soul. I promise you, I will always openly talk to you every chance I get because I know you'll always be there to listen. Everytime I needed something, you were there, without a single thought. You were the most selfless person I knew and did everything for everyone, without a single benefit to yourself and I have always admired that about you Sam! I only hope to be half the person you were, with half of your determination. No matter who or what tried to knock you down, you proved that you could accomplish anything. The memory that stands out the most, Sam, is every time I would see you at the store you would have a smile on your face, and when asked about Kelly or Julie that smile always grew bigger. I cant really think of a time that you werent smiling (even when my mom pierced your ear that one time fishing! You still smiled and shrugged it off) I am grateful that I can say that you were a part of my life. Whether it was the nights cheering your dad on at the race track, our families camping and fishing trips, or one of the many times our families got together to celebrate one thing or another - they are all cherished memories. I am always at a loss for words when such a beautiful soul is taken from us. To describe Sam you would have to say how he was a brother, a son, a father, and a husband. But that wouldn't even begin to explain him. I can't think of words that truly explain how great of a person he was, maybe there just aren't any. My heart goes out to Kelly. I know her and Sam from when they worked at Albertson's on Academy. A co-worker of Kelly's told me on Wednesday that Sam had passed away-broke my heart.
