Obituary of Margaret King
Margaret is survived by her son, Gary and daughter-in-law, Joette (Jett) of Monument, Colorado; her sister, Helen Manyik of Colorado Springs., Ann Kersey of Lexington, Kentucky and brother, Tom Manyik of Cary, North Carolina.She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete R. King, brothers, George Manyik, Steve Manyik, and Andrew Manyik, sister, Mary Eurich, parents, Andrew & Elizabeth (Gdovin) Manyik.She was born June 15, 1915 in Ramah, Colorado at the family's homestead. Before she married she worked in the Springs, after marrying Pete they stayed in the Ramah area for many years. Margaret could handle a team of six horses and a plow when needed. She ranched, farmed and loved to grow flowers. She loved taking care of her parents, family and others, and was very active in St. Mary's Orthodox Church north of Calhan and after moving to the Springs in the 1980's she became active at St. Constantine & Helen Orthodox Church.Margaret always had a cheerful and positive outlook and was much loved by her family and friends.The family requests contributions in Margaret's memory be sent to: Silver Key Senior Services, 2240 Bott Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80904.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909
