Obituary of Agnes C. LeNoue
Agnes C. LeNoue was born in Clement, North Dakota on January 5, 1917. At age 7 she moved to Kent, Minnesota. Agnes grew up the 7th of 13 children. She finished 8th grade at age 11 and helped her older siblings with their growing families until she married at age 17. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1954. She worked at LoArt Card Company (now Current), Murray Drug Store and Divine Redeemer school cafeteria. She enjoyed concerts at the Air Force Academy, the nickel slots at Cripple Creek, and monthly lunches with the "cafeteria lunch bunch." Her extended family enjoyed many gatherings at her home, grandchildren playing dress-up with old dresses, hats, and jewelry, and card games, especially Skip-Bo. After her husband died in 1981, she lived by herself in her own home for 30 years until age 93 when she moved to assisted living. She passed away on June 15, 2012 in Colorado Springs.She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Rose Neppl, her husband Henry, children Wayne (Jane) and Connie (Bill), and 11 of her siblings. She is survived by her sister Pauline Gunderson, her son Dale (Emily), 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 7:00PM on Monday June 18, 2012 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO.
