Obituary of Carl Ulysses Staup
Carl Ulysses Staup, born October 20, 1935 in Lima, Ohio, passed away July 18, 2012.Carl loved the mountains and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gun collecting. He liked talking with his buddies and was an avid history buff. He also loved old movies, tinkering on old cars, and dumpster diving. Carl was very proud of his service in the U.S. Air Force as a Radar Mechanic, 1953-1957, and that he painted the home of a Denver Bronco. Survived by his wife, Barbara A. Staup of Colorado Springs; daughters Susan Diane (Terry) Malesa of Omaha, Nebraska, Pamela Kay (Dennis) Jacobs of Arkansas, Karen Jo Quinn of Oregon; son James Allen Staup of Arkansas; grandchildren Catherine (Tony) Booker, and Dr. Cynthia (Tony) Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Anthony Patrick Elliss Booker, Anthony Michael Hernandez IV, Amelia Ann Booker, Eli Alexander Hernandez, Anya Isabel Hernandez; sisters Peg Crow. Kay Ansley, Susie Lutz, and Carolyn Shaw; brothers John Staup, Bob Staup, Mike Staup, and Bill Staup, and many nieces and nephews.Carl is preceded in death by his son Ronald Morgan Staup, parents Emerson and Margaret Staup, and brothers Tom Staup, Bud Staup, and Tim Staup.Visitation will be held from 11:00AM to 12:15PM Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Springs Funeral Services, 3115 E. Platte Avenue Colorado Springs, CO.Graveside Services will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Woodland Park Cemetery, 650 Short Avenue, Woodland Park, CO."Love the Lord, make him first in your life."
