Obituary of James Alfred Huth
Jim was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 25th, 1929 to Alfred Martin and Millicent Gertrude (Bennett) Huth, and peacefully left this world on August 4th, 2012.As a native of Colorado Springs, Jim attended Colorado Springs High School before entering the Navy. He went on to attend Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where he earned a Masters in Education. Jim taught Industrial Arts at Cheyenne Junior High School for 31 years.Jim married Delores Emma (Brockmiller) in 1956 at Ascension Lutheran Church as charter members. They lived for over 54 years in the house Jim designed and help build.Jim enjoyed woodworking, traveling, and especially tennis, which he played for decades. He loved entertaining his grandchildren.Jim is survived by his wife and children: Brian (Therese) Huth, Sherilyn (Brad) Palmer, and Terry Huth, and by five grandchildren: Scott Davis, Carisa Landry, Natalie Poston, Lindsey Palmer, and Bryce Palmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Donald. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00AM Monday, August 13, 2012 at Ascension Lutheran Church , 2505 N. Circle Drive Colorado Springs, CO.Interment will be held at 1:30PM Monday, August 13, 2012 at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 S.
