Obituary of Audrey Ray Tolson

Audrey Raye Janet Tolson (Jackson-Bagsby) was born in Garnett, Kansas on 12 March 1928 to Osie Thomas and Bessie Mae Tolson. She went to be with Jehovah on 7 September 2012.Audrey loved Jehovah God first and foremost; more than anyone or anything else in this World! Her faith in Jehovah was so strong she would always proclaim "there wasn't ANYTHING that Jehovah could not take care of". She always had an encouraging word and the goodness of Jehovah.She was preceded in death by her parents Bessie Mae Rodgers Tolson and Osie Thomas Tolson. Her sisters: Frances E Bradford, Ida Rose Dewberry, Dorthy Winifred Byron; her Brother, Earnest T Tolson, Exspouses: Sonnie Jackson and Briscoe Bagsby and many beloved Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. She is survived by her three Step Children; whom she loved so dearly; Neal, Jamie and Denice Jackson. Nieces: Betty Dewberry Jackson and Sharon Tunson of Colorado Springs, CO, Elaine Mc Donald of Seattle, WA, Mary Bradford Howard of Aurora, CO, Joi St Clair of Castle Rock, CO, Nephews: James (Wife:Bell) Tolson, James/"Sonnie" ( Wife: Joan) Hill, Robert L (Wife: Marceen) Dewberry, Lyle Byron and Brian (Wife: Amy) Mc Donald of Colorado Springs, James Tolson of Denton, TX, and Harry (Wife: Denice) Dewberry of Grand Junction, CO., John Mc Donald of Denver, CO and Rodney (Wife: Kelly) Mc Donald of Austin, Texas. She leaves behind a host of Great, Great Great and Great Great Great Nieces and Nephews, Cousins and Friends. Audrey was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked at the "old" Penrose Hospital/Glockner and retired from the Fort Carson Hospital after 34 years of service. Her last position at the Hospital was an Immunization Nurse. She served as a Daughter Ruler for The Elks Lodge No 309. There, she enjoyed putting on fashion and talent shows and fund raising events. Very few people knew Audrey as ART and ARTISTIC she was! She was truly articulate in all of her endeavors. She had such style, grace, beauty and sophistication in all that she did; be it clothes, cooking, artwork, flower arrangements, posters, personal handwriting, wrapping packages, setting a table, serving a dish . . . There wasn't anything she DID NOT do without love, beauty, joy and perfection!!Her Service is Thursday, Oct 4, 2012 at 11:00-11:30 am at the Kingdom Hall located at 819 E Vermijo St, Colorado Springs, CO. The Celebration of Her Life will continue after the Service in the meeting room at The Golden Corral Buffet at 1097 Wayonka Road, Colorado Sorings, CO (off of Powers and Palmer Park Blvd) across the street from K Mart. You will be on your own for the cost for lunch.
