Obituary of Colonel Donald Mark Dessert Jr.

Donald Mark Dessert, Jr., of Palm Bay, FL went to be with his Savior on September 9, 2012. Born in Orlando, FL on June 24, 1946, he graduated at the USAFA, class of 1969, rising to the rank of Colonel as a command pilot, and serving his country for 26 years. He was a devout Catholic, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by family and a legion of friends. He is survived by his wife Jo Ellen; son (Donald) Mark Dessert, III, daughter Kristin and her husband Matt Kirk; grandchildren Maeve and Keanen Kirk. He is also survived by five siblings Terry and his wife Sharon Dessert, Sue and her husband Mike McClure, Patti and her husband Oru Bose, Greg and his wife Sarah Dessert, Carolyn and her husband Ernie Lauterio; his uncle Jack and his wife Barbara Wright; his aunt Ann Dessert; brother-in-law Bruce and his wife Irma Kamperschroer, brother-in-law Steve and his wife Jenifer Kamperschroer; and many loving nephews, nieces, and cousins.
