Obituary of Melissa Iola Mabray-Wattley

Melissa Iola Mabray-Wattley was born June 30, 1971 in New Albany, Indiana to Ernest Holmes and Lawanna Mabray.She attended elementary school in Indiana. Upon relocation with her mother and brother Adam to Houston, TX, she completed her high school years. Melissa went on to further her education at Remington College under the study of Medical Assistant and National Institute Technical College studying Pharmaceutical Technology receiving Diploma of Completion in each.Being trained from her youth by her mother Lawanna, Missy, as called by family and friends accepted Christ at an early age adopting as her favorite scripture Matthew 28:19 - 20. Attending the Bread of Life Church in Houston, Tx, Melissa did not sit idle. She loved singing and used her gift to praise God. In 1992, Melissa met and dated Quinten A. Wattley. They later married in January 2000, and together brought three children Timothy Odell, Sara Elizabeth Grace, and Daniel Jonathan into the world. They remained in Texas at the same church. Like her mother, Missy made sure that the family was involved in the church ministry. Upon relocation to Colorado Springs, CO in 2012, they actively sought a church home where they could continue their work in ministry. With much prayer and discussion, they united the family with Church of All Nations. It was not long after joining the church that Melissa's love for singing prompted her to join with the choir. Melissa departed this life on October 18, 2012.She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband Quinten A. Wattley, two sons Timothy O.
