Obituary of Robert Emmett O'Neil

Robert "Bob" O'Neil was born in Kansas City, KS to Fred and Ethel O'Neil. He passed away at home in Black Forest, CO surrounded by his loving family.He attended Ward High School and was in the Marines 1946-1948 (once a Marine always a Marine ). Bob graduated from Kansas City Kansas Junior College in 1950 and married Birdye Hale on July 24, 1952. He moved his family to his paradise on earth in Black Forest, Colorado forty- two years ago and never cared to go anywhere else.Bob worked for General Electric Medical Systems for thirty years but the joy of his life was driving a school bus for School District 20 for the last 12 years. He dearly loved his co-workers and all the children who rode the bus. He also loved singing in the choir and his fellow choir members at Our Lady of the Pines.He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Riley and his son Sean.He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Birdye; children Patricia, Kathleen, Cheryl Bralick, Patrick and Brian; granddaughters, Meaghan Bralick and Morgan Fisk, step-granddaughter Anna Christensen; and great-grandchildren Ryleagh Bralick, Killian Fisk, and Renee Christensen.
