Obituary of Elizabeth Judith Thurber

Elizabeth Judy Thurber (Liz) passed away late Thursday night, December 27, 2012. Liz was born in Newport, Vermont on October 9, 1939. She was raised in Vermont and attended Burlington High School. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1960 to join her sister, Sally. They were both single.She was preceded in death by her parents, Wendell W. and Maude Still Thurber, four sisters and two brothers.She is survived by her brother, Ben and his wife Bev Thurber and many nieces and nephews and her cats, "Fido" and "Good Time Charlie".She worked for El Paso County and more recently for Wendy's in the A/P department retiring on June 30th, 2006 after 17 years of service.She was a member of Church for All Nations SW Campus and a member of CFAN SW Women's Bible Study. She was known for her kind and generous nature. She told us, "When you do what God wants you to it will always turn out alright."
