Our hearts ache. We have so many fond memories from the past 35 years. You befriended Sheila and her children when we lost Chris. You were there for Helen when we lost Henry. You gave me your El Camino to drive while my truck was being repaired. We recall when you drove through the blizzard of the mid-1980's, when the roads and highways were all closed, so that you and your crew could be onsite to repair downed electrical lines. You used to bring the girls DQ ice cream after your shift. You picked up Jacque from the vet even though you said that you hated that dog. You cycled the annual MS150 and MS Biketober for those of us with MS. There are too many wonderful memories to address them all. You are an angel and are missed. God needed some manpower and he has it now. We love you, Ed. Nancy and Ray

During the early yrs of my service with Springs Utilities, I had the opportunity to work with Ed's crews and the man carried high regards for me as a coworker as well as his fellow man. I spoke with Ed only two weeks ago and he had not one negative word during our conversation. May God send his spirit to higher ground. Ed Terhune was a good man.

Ed Terhune---a good guy. Ed was not a great communicator, he was a great doer. We remember people for what they do more than what they say. I remember many times Ed would see what someone needed and he would just quietly get it done for them. Of course it was a joy to be around him. Wonderful dry sense of humor. Ed ---In memory of you I will try to take to heart your example. Maybe say a little less and do a little more. Ed Terhune---A Really Good Guy Alana T. Baldwin Denver Colorado

To my friend Ed, I remember the first day that you came to work for CSU and we have been friends every since. I don't believe that I have met a man since that day that was more true with honesty and integrity than you. You were honest to people face to face whether people liked it or not and that is very hard to come by in the standards of today's world. You were a kind and generous man that didn't need the material things of this world but you always gave your time to help others. You were a true true friend Ed and you are missed by so many. Your friends always Larry and Rhonda Davis

Ed was a quiet and very responsible man. We have known his family for over 30 years and have heard a lot about Ed, more from his family than from Ed himself--but it was always good and came from his loving and proud family and friends. He loved his Mom's cooking and she loved to cook for him. He loved and missed his Father. He and his brother Tom were very close. He will be missed. He will remain loved by his Mom,Tom, and all. Our thoughts & prayers are with Rose & Tom.

Ed was the fiercest, loudest Lineman I had ever run across, the first day I was on his crew he was already asking the Foreman when was I going away! The thing about Ed was he loved to laugh and he loved an audience, and nobody was exempt. Supervisors, friends, enemies if he felt like letting go about something, well-there you were! Seriously, I would not have gotten thru my Apprenticeship, without him, nor would I trade the memories or the laughs for anything. He got the biggest kick out of the fact I lived in a trailer park, and as luck would have it he found a piece of plywood by a dumpster with polaroid pictures of a mobile home for sale. He re-decorated it with his anecdotes(I'll spare you the details) and lugged it up and down the dock at our shop, I threw it away twice and he dug it back out, I finally had to take it to a far-away dumpster. Times like when he and another lineman were on a pole and decided they needed popcorn, which I had to buy with my own money and send it up on the handline without spilling it. Or the one where my job was to pick up BBQ supplies for a job on Rampart Range, and I forgot the hamburger buns, he seriously had me convinced I was going to be fired when I got in that night. Or the time he and this same lineman found a stale 12 pack of beer with unopened cans near our job site, they rigged up the bins on the bucket truck with string so that when I opened the bin the string opened the beer, and sprayed me. Looking back, somebody really should have seperated those two! How about when I drove off the bridge in a material truck and was tipped sideways and stuck, (true the other two bigger trucks had maneuvered it just fine) he felt obliged to inform me exactly what my level of intelligience was at that given moment. I could go on and on-but I won't. Adios, Amigo, you truly were a "Diamond in the rough". I know you are fine, it's God who has His hands full now!!

I don't understand why, maybe because you were lonely. It never had to be that way, the job we did made us all brothers, you always did your best, nothing else can be asked; it was about quality. That was your way, and I share that. I do not have words to explain, just treasure that you were there for OUR journey. Thank you for that, Ed, you are missed.

Ed was always nice to me(which says a lot when your a apprentice!) and funny. I would laugh when he called people 'slackspanner' and think of him whenever I drive by one. Thanks Ed for the training and good times.
