Obituary of Monica Wilhelmina Free

Monica Free, 86, of Colorado Springs died peacefully at home Feb. 3, 2013. Monica was born a twin with her sister Mary on Sep. 15, 1926 to Aloysius and Anna Niemeyer in Breese, IL. She married Duane Free on Aug. 22, 1953 and moved to Colorado Springs in 1954.Monica is survived by her daughter Kristine Siemieniak of Colorado Springs, her sister Odelia Niemeyer of Breese, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews.Monica was a civil service employee at Scott AFB in Belleville, IL, Ent AFB, Ft. Carson, Peterson Field AFB, and the Chidlaw Building in Colorado Springs, retiring after 19 years.Monica was eternally optimistic, energetic, full of life and compassion. An unceasing giver to family, friends, and strangers alike. She was an avid John Elway and Broncos fan, blowing kisses at the TV during game time. She loved entertaining and baking delectable pies with her twin sister Mary.
