Obituary of Loren Delbert Florian

Loren D. Florian died Thursday, February 7, 2013 at St. Francis Medical Center. Loren "Dutch" Florian was born November 17, 1944 in Akron Colorado to Henry G. & Frances C. Florian. He is survived by his wife Brenda, his sons Kevin and Chris, his wife Sherry and his granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Leigha and Taylor. Also surviving are his two sisters, Darlene Kraich and Kay Fuller both of Akron Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Larry, Bob and Paul and his sister Edna. Dutch was a hardworking man and upon graduation he worked with his father and brothers on the family farm. He also helped his father with his construction business but discovered that working on cars was what he really wanted to do. Upon graduation from the North West Kansas Vocational Technical School, he started work for Herl Chevrolet in Goodland Kansas. He moved his family to Colorado Springs in 1983 and worked for Golden Eagle Landscaping and then went on to work for Rustic Hills Firestone and Dan's Auto Inc. Dutch was an automobile mechanic for over 40 years and had a passion for drag racing and classic muscle cars. He was a big fan of the Denver Bronco's and after retirement became a fan of NASCAR Racing. Dutch was often found discussing various topics of interest with friends at breakfast at the local diner. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 Friday February 15th at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Ave., Colorado Springs, CO.In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Diabetes Association.
