Obituary of Beverly K. Powell

Beverly Kay Powell, 75, entered the gates of Heaven on February 19, 2013 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers. Beverly was born January 25, 1938 in Pueblo, Colorado to Commodore Cline and Edith McClure. Beverly graduated from Ovid High in Ovid, Colorado in 1956. Beverly married the love of her life, Rex A. Powell, on November 24, 1956 and after living in Denver and Grand Junction they moved to Colorado Springs in May 1966. Beverly worked for Hewlett Packard for 25 years before retiring in 1998. She loved to play golf, Bridge, bowling, listening to bagpipes, and spending time with her family. In her later years Bev and Rex enjoyed traveling. Beverly is survived by her husband Rex; daughters Diana (Steve) Powell-Lawrence and Kathryn (Jeff) Brickell; son Richard Powell; 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Wayne and Jean; daughter Julie Powell; and great-grandsons Trenton Rex Kirt and Sunshine O'Connor.Beverly's family would like to thank Life Care and Pikes Peak Care and Rehabilitation facilities for their loving support and care.
