Obituary of Alvah Hardy Stephens

Alvah was born to Roy Robert and Ethel Margaret Stephens on November 14, 1933 in Gardner, Colorado, he grew up in Custer County, Colorado and lived in both Victor, Colorado and Colorado Springs, Colorado for many years. For the past 17 years he has lived in Calhan, Colorado.He worked for many years for School District 11. His real love was his family and anything to do with livestock.He married Louise (Luckie) Marie Fisk on June 15, 1961 and together they had three children, Jesse (Brenda) Stephens, Lalani (Jesse) Witten and Linda Albin.He is also survived by his 9 Grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, his brother , Robert (Ada); sister, Ann (Carl) Hatcher; and brother, Harry (Lana).Alvah was preceded in death by his parents, his sister's, Evelyn Hamilton & Fern Gray a brother Albert and baby sister, Lena.He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2315 Bott Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.A Memorial Service will be held 11:00AM, Friday, April 12, 2013 at Living Word Community Church, 532 Colorado Avenue, Calhan, Colorado.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909 Events Service Friday, April 12, 2013 11:00AM Living Word Community Church 532 Colorado Avenue Calhan, CO 80808 Phone: 719-347-2200
