My dear Aunt JoAnn I miss you so much. I remember staying the night at your house and how you and I would stay up for hours just talking. We had some of the best conversations during the wee hours of the morning. You were the only one who stayed up all night like I do, so it is really hard realizing that you will no longer be able to keep me company at night. I miss hearing your stories, even the embarassing ones, you use to tell about all of us. I learned a lot about the family just through your stories. I laugh remembering how we thought we were getting away with things, just to find out years later ya'll knew what were doing and just tried to keep us from getting in to too much trouble. You kept my secrets, gave me advise, and yelled at me when I needed it. You were such an instrumental part of our lives that I know you will live on in all of us. You will be forever in my heart. Love "Cousin" Heather

To the Wall family, I knew your mom, Les & Shannon through skating at Skate City. JoAnn was a wonderful person who will be missed by everyone who knew her. I regret that we weren't able to reconnect in the recent past. She is resting now in the arms of the Saviour.

I am having such a hard time without you. This isn't real to me.I do not want to share you.I am being so self centered but I was not ready to lose you.I am still not ready. You mean so much to me.You helped me though so much and you never judged me.I was always springing something upon you.You would always ask me questions that sometimes I would be to embarrassed to answer so I would tell you to "google" it.I am so scared where life will go without you. There isn't a soul out there that could compare to you.You are amazing. You always hated my hair I always died it dark and you called me your skunk I will never forget that. That was the last words you told me.You hate my hair and called me a skunk. It made me so happy to see you where still you even though you where in your last days. You are an amazing woman and you told me you would fight.Thank you for fighting.God is lucky to have my special grammy in heaven.I miss you and I will always love you.You will always be in my heart.. What a strong family matriarch! Family was always a priority--and one did not have to be "by blood" to be her family. Jo Ann is leaving behind a legacy of love and relationships that will always be to her honor. May those who were blessed by her and who will miss her draw strength from the Great I AM. Love to all,

JoAnn was my second mom. She and mom were best friends from the day they met. Both treated each others family as part of their own. I knew JoAnn would always be there for me, no matter what. She remembered eveything about us. I will miss her every day. I also know she is in heaven celebrating with all her family and friends who have gone before her. She will never be alone. She will ever be forgotten.

Grandmie- You were my everything,I know you're in a better place now. We all miss you. You always made me smile. I remember staying the night all the time with you. I lived with you for so many years of my life. I know I didn't tell you enough here, but Thank- You for always being there for me. Its surreal that you're gone. I'm hurtin, You were our rock. Now we have to learn all over. I know that you'll always be by my side no matter what. You still believe in me. I know you are sittin up there missin Gizmo and tellin God what to do. Grandmie, I love you with my heart and soul. I'm sad you're gone, but you are forever in my heart. I miss you so much. I love you. <3

It saddens my heart that you were so sick, Jo Ann but I know that God was preparing you for when it was the darkest, and that God was dependable when you were the weakest. God has taken you in his arms, taken the pain and made you live again.

Dear Aunt Jo Ann, I remember when my elementary school went on a field trip to Skate City and I bought an ice cream. You gave me a huge scoop that made all the other kids jealous. Thats one of my favorite memories. You were always good like that. I could never express how important you are to the family. Your stern kindness and amazing strength were vital to everyone, and they became the infrastructure around which our parents built their lives. They passed it on to us in turn. You might move on, but those foundations are a part of us forever. Well miss you. Ill miss you. But by the way we live our lives, we will pass on your gifts to generations to come. In that way, youll never be gone, and for that we are eternally in your debt. With all my love,

My love and forever gratitude to this wonderful woman I called Mama Jo. She was a second mother to me and grandma to my babies. She was an amazing woman who put her family first before anything. To be a part of that extended family has been an honor. I hope to be half the woman that she was. I love my Wall family and will always be with you though near or far. Fly with the Angels Mama Jo. Love, Melly
