Obituary of Donald Eugene Brown, Sr.

Donald Eugene Brown was born on July 10, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan. His parents, Eva Mae and Melwood C. Brown preceded him in death. There he lived with his oldest brother Eddie. After the death of Eva Mae, his father subsequently remarried; Nancy and three more brother were born into the family. Upon graduation from high school he enlisted into the United States Air Force. He married Renate Ernst in 1970 and together they had two children. Jeanine Hamilton (Dylan) and Jennifer Tolbert (Dave). They would later divorce in 1979.In 1981, Donald met Divinia Placino. After a year of courtship, they were married on February 1, 1982. They had to children, Donald Jr.(Karla) and Latonya Brown, and adopted Cecilio Brown. Donald served proudly in the United States Air Force as an HVAC repair technician, for 23 years. He enjoyed many tours overseas in various countries like Japan, Germany, and Egypt. He had a love of music that was unsurpassed and could often be seen singing, playing the guitar, playing the piano and dancing (no matter where the military sent him). He never met a person he wouldn't talk to and touched many lives along the way. His friends span the globe and his smile could light up any room. On January 1, 1992, Donald retired from the Air Force in Alamogordo New Mexico. He then began a career as an engineer. In 1998, he decided to leave his job as an engineer and move to Rio Rancho New Mexico to begin his career with Intel. After 16 years with Intel, Donald retired in January 2013. His wife Divine retired just a short time later. Then they began their journey to fulfill a passion which arose with his first visit to Colorado; to find the home of their dreams and move to Colorado Springs. On March 22, 2013, they closed on their retirement home and began their new chapter in their life together. Everyday they would wake up and begin to unpack the amazing memories they had created together. Then they would drive through the city and admire the mountains that he so loved and wanted to live out the rest of his days near. After only three short weeks in his dream home, Donald Eugene Brown, passed away and joined his mother and father in heaven. His memory will live on with his wife and all five of his children.
