Ronald W. Balka was born in Hammond, Indiana and died May 10, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He graduated from Hammond Tech and Purdue-Calumet. He married Janet, had two sons Russel (Macee) and Cliffton (Lora), and 5 grandchildren; Jacob, Ryan, Haley, Leah, and Luke. Ron was an electrical engineer at Republic Steel. He is also survived by his younger brother, Ted, and preceded in death by his older brother Len and parents Walter and Stella.
