Obituary of James Jay Franz

Jim Franz, 55, passed away on May 26, 2013 after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 13, 1957 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota to James and Gladys Franz. He grew up outside the Twin Cities and graduated from Mounds View High School. After graduation, he served in the Air Force from May 1977 to March 1983. While stationed in Arizona he met his wife, Terry and they were married April 1983 in Panama City, FL. Working full time, he received his Bachelors degree from Regis University and his Masters from Webster University. He worked as a systems engineer for numerous defense and FAA projects in Washington D.C. and Colorado Springs.Jim is survived by his wife, Terry; son, Alex; his father, James Edwin (Arlene) Franz and 3 brothers, Jeffrey Scott (LeeAnn) Franz , Richard James (Tracy) Franz and Thomas James (Mary) Franz.
