Obituary of MSG Zachary T. Waller, US Army
MSG Zachary T. Waller, age 82, a Colorado Springs resident since 1956, passed away May 26, 2013 at his home in Security. He had retired after serving his country for 21 ½ years in the U.S. Army, serving in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. While in the military he was awarded many medals and commendations, including the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Army Commendation Medal. Zach was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born to George Browder Waller and Bulah Bee Brown Waller on September 26, 1930 in Fairview, Kentucky, they are deceased and he was pre-deceased by his sister Georgia Oakes. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Waller, who he married in Pueblo, February 1958, they have two children; Randolph Waller (Beth) and Susan Graham (Chris), four grandchildren; SSG Joshua T. Waller, Sr. (Samantha), Jessica Hammack (Daniel), Tyler Graham (Lindsay) and Nathan Graham, three great –grandchildren, Joshua T. Waller, Jr., Zachary and Zoey Hammack. He enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing and his pheasant hunting trips to Nebraska and South Dakota. He was a life member of VFW Post 3917 and Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held 11AM, Monday, June 3, 2013 at Imperial Gardens Cemetery in Pueblo, Colorado.
